Rob Foos entered the mortgage industry in 2016 as a loan officer, quickly establishing himself as a leader for both clients and referral partners. His career path led him from being a local loan expert at a mortgage brokerage to playing a key role in expanding new markets at Redfin Mortgage, and later, to driving national sales at a FinTech startup called Knock. As the Director of Sales at Knock, Rob led a team of over 30 loan officers and was instrumental in facilitating over $1 billion in home loan originations.
Rob founded Sparrow Mortgage with a vision to offer a personalized, transparent, and client-focused service. Drawing from his rich experience, he is dedicated to guiding clients expertly through the complex mortgage process, ensuring a seamless and integrity-driven experience for each client.
A former United States Coast Guard officer, Rob’s leadership skills and sense of duty were honed commanding a patrol boat and representing the Coast Guard to three fishery management councils. These experiences, coupled with his education at the United States Coast Guard Academy where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Management, continue to inform his commitment to both his community and his work at Sparrow Mortgage. He remains active in community service, contributing to the Falmouth Veterans Council and having served on the Coast Guard Academy Alumni Association Board of Directors.
Family is central to Rob’s life. He, his wife Caitlin – also a Coast Guard Academy graduate – and their children, Kirsten, Audrey, and Clark, cherish their life on Cape Cod as a young family and particularly enjoy any opportunity to be on the water.
Rob’s journey includes overcoming testicular cancer in 2020, a challenge that intensified his appreciation for family, relationships, health, and the sanctuary of home. This experience reinforced his resolve to ensure that Sparrow Mortgage supports its clients’ homeownership dreams and overall well-being, regardless of the challenges they may face. Open about his own health journey, Rob advocates for regular health and self-checks and encourages open discussions about health changes with primary care physicians.
